Context

The Vérification Générale Périodique (VGP) is France's statutory inspection of lifting and worksite equipment — order of 1 March 2004, articles R.4323-22 to 28 of the labour code. In the field, across the Indian Ocean (Madagascar, Mayotte, Réunion, Comoros, Mauritius), it ran on paper: slow reports, re-inspection deadlines tracked by hand, fragile traceability. 3MF — Mascareignes Matériel Madagascar et Formation — wanted the full cycle digitised.

A 7-step inspection form: photos, GPS, finger-drawn signature, verdict favourable / with reservations / unfavourable.

Regulatory checklists

Nine legal equipment families, exact statute citations, next-inspection date computed from the legal periodicity (3, 6 or 12 months).

Built-in NFC

Equipment tags read and written on site: a scan pre-fills the inspection; exportable log.

Back-office portal

Deadline cockpit, creation wizard, safety register, PDF generation and email delivery, invoicing with automatic reminders.

Client delivery

Reports viewable via a signed public link — no account required from the end client.

Controlled distribution

A personalised APK per inspector, distributed off-store through time-limited secure links.

How it works

An inspection request (public form or back-office pre-creation) is assigned to an inspector, who finds it in the app. On site, scanning the machine's NFC tag pre-fills the form; the inspection runs fully offline, photos and signature included. On reconnection everything syncs; the manager approves, the PDF report goes to the client with its signed link, and automatic reminders (D-30, D-14, D-3) drive the re-inspection loop. One shared backend carries all three surfaces.

What is the VGP?
