FEC.NEWS

The fiscal agent that turns a FEC file or a tax-package PDF into an actionable financial diagnosis.

The problem

An accountant's analysis memo costs €800–2,500 and takes one to three weeks. Business owners receive their tax package in April and cannot read it; when they ask for a loan, the bank says no without saying why; and the bank adviser has twenty minutes per file.

Who it's for

  • Owners of small and mid-sized French companies (€50k–10M revenue)
  • Accounting firms, to industrialise repetitive analysis
  • Banks, leasing companies and funds, via API

What it does

Tolerant ingestion

Multi-year FEC files (all common encodings/separators) and CERFA 2050→2059 tax-package PDFs, auto-detected.

Traceable extraction

FEC→CERFA reconstruction field by field, with confidence percentages, accounting invariants and an inconsistency gate.

Full diagnosis

Balance sheet, P&L, intermediate balances, 18 ratios, a composite /100 score (grades A→D).

Banker signals

Scissor effect, payment incidents, seasonality — detected on bank-account entries.

Forecasting

Annual trajectory from a model ensemble with backtesting, plus weekly nowcasting.

FEC ↔ filing reconciliation

Aggregates first, then cell by cell against CERFA codes.

Regenerated filing

A 12-page CERFA PDF on the official DGFiP template — no declarative value — shareable by email.

Data respect

FEC anonymisation runs 100% in the browser; automatic SIRENE enrichment.

How it works

The founding principle is anti-hallucination: no number ever passes through a language model. Two ingestion chains — FEC via chart-of-accounts→CERFA mapping rules, PDF via three-pass extraction with a voted OCR fallback — converge on the same cell codes. A deterministic rules engine then computes ratios, scores and forecasts: same files in, same figures out, to the cent. The AI comes after: it narrates the diagnosis, answers with citations and gives direction — and is forbidden from producing or re-summing a figure.

  • Embedded references: the DGFiP FEC format (18 columns), the CERFA nomenclature (~180 codes), ANC rules and anomaly detectors
  • Four-level support: deterministic answers, then grounded AI, then human review
  • Synthetic, deterministic demo files — no real data

FAQ

Can I trust the numbers?

They come from a deterministic rules engine, not a generative AI: same files, same results. Every extracted value traces back to its CERFA cell or source entry.

What files can I upload?

A FEC — the standard accounting-entries file every French accounting package exports — over one or more fiscal years, or a standard-regime tax-package PDF (CERFA 2050–2059).

Is the regenerated filing official?

No. It is produced on the DGFiP template for analysis and reconciliation, and has no declarative value.

How do I get access?

Access is invitation-only during the test phase. Accounting firms can apply to the validator programme directly at fec.news/programme-test.

What happens to my accounting data?

You can anonymise the FEC entirely in your browser before anything is sent: irreversible hashing and valid fake SIREN numbers, with amounts still analysable.

Join the test phase

The validator-firms programme is open for applications — founding-firm status for the first accepted firms.
